Living with the devil

When we started our trip more than two months ago, we thought we had plenty of time and would travel without any hurry. But somehow we had forgotten that it is us travelling, and we always want to see as much as we can!

So instead of weeklong stays at the same place we have travelled a lot - never staying more than three or four nights in one place. (That is also one reason why we are so slow with posting on this blog.)

That is something we have finally changed in Uruguay. Travelling down the Atlantic coast, we discovered the lovely little town of Punta del Diablo. Once a little fishermen's village, it has grown a lot over the past decade - but it is still a nice, little and very laid-back place to be.

After passing two nights down there on our Uruguay road trip we decided we had to go back - and skip the probably crystal-clear blue waters of Brazilian beaches located 1500 kilometers and one night bus trip up to the north...

So we came back to Punta del Diablo and passed four wonderfully relaxing days in this beautiful place, doing nothing more than swimming, getting sun-tanned on the beach, cooking fresh fish from local fishermen, having aperitif on our terrace with Sea view...

Oh, and we went to Cabo Polonio - even smaller, even more relaxed (there is no electricity yet). I guess next time we will stay there as well.
